Structural Framework

Five Dimensions. One Structural Score.

The AI Career Index framework powers both your AI Career Snapshot and the full AI Career Positioning Report. It evaluates five structural dimensions to determine how resilient and strategically positioned your career is in an AI-driven economy.

How the framework is built

Five weighted dimensions, one composite reading

The framework below is the scoring engine behind every role page, every assessment, and every Acceleration Plan on the site. It evaluates five structural dimensions, each weighted to reflect its contribution to career durability in the AI economy. The dimensions combine deterministically into a single composite reading that ranges from zero to one thousand, with a clear band interpretation at each level.

The weights are fixed, not personalised. Strategic Clarity carries twenty-five percent. Income Leverage, AI Adaptability, and Skill Resilience each carry twenty percent. Market Alignment carries fifteen percent. Same inputs always produce the same outputs, and every score on the site is traceable back to the weights shown here.

01

Strategic Clarity

Weight 25%

Clear direction that compounds leverage over time.

Strategic Clarity measures how deliberately your career is designed. High clarity means your decisions build on each other, creating compounding leverage rather than random progression.

The assessment evaluates how clearly your 3–5 year direction is defined, whether your current role supports that direction, and whether your professional narrative reflects intention rather than accident.

Without clear direction, income and authority growth remain limited by effort. With clarity, decisions compound and authority migration becomes possible.

Performance BandsStructural Risk → Acceleration
Structural Risk
01

Career direction is reactive. Growth happens around you rather than through you.

Transitional
02

Direction exists but lacks precision strong enough to resist compression.

Advanced
03

Clear intent is visible. Positioning is becoming deliberate and structured.

Acceleration
04

Every decision aligns with authority growth and long-term leverage.

02

AI Adaptability

Weight 20%

How deeply AI is embedded as a multiplier in your work.

AI Adaptability measures how structurally integrated AI is within your professional output. Awareness of AI is not enough. Structural integration creates protection.

The assessment evaluates AI integration depth, capability relative to your sector frontier, and whether AI strengthens your authority rather than replacing tasks.

At higher bands, AI functions as an output multiplier, enabling higher-complexity work at lower marginal effort.

Performance BandsStructural Risk → Acceleration
Structural Risk
01

Limited AI integration. High displacement exposure.

Transitional
02

Developing AI usage but not yet structurally embedded.

Advanced
03

AI enhances output beyond simple productivity gains.

Acceleration
04

AI compounds competitive advantage and authority scope.

03

Income Leverage

Weight 20%

How your compensation structure scales with value created.

Income Leverage evaluates the relationship between the value you create and how you are compensated. Time-bound income structures are the most exposed in compressed markets.

This dimension carries high weight because compensation architecture determines compression risk more than skill alone.

Progression moves from fixed-salary dependency toward performance-linked, advisory, portfolio, or asset-based structures that decouple income from time.

Performance BandsStructural Risk → Acceleration
Structural Risk
01

Income directly tied to hours worked. High compression exposure.

Transitional
02

Some differentiation, but still market-rate dependent.

Advanced
03

Value is reflected in compensation, but structural premium remains limited.

Acceleration
04

Income architecture operates at leverage scale with compound upside.

04

Skill Resilience

Weight 20%

Durability and transferability of your skill architecture.

Skill Resilience measures how durable your skill portfolio remains under automation pressure and market shifts.

Depth alone is insufficient. Structural resilience requires cross-functional reach and transferability.

Lower-tier assessments often reveal skill concentration as the primary structural bottleneck.

Performance BandsStructural Risk → Acceleration
Structural Risk
01

Skills are concentrated and automation-exposed.

Transitional
02

Skills are viable but lack cross-domain resilience.

Advanced
03

Skills are durable and adaptable with room to compound.

Acceleration
04

Skill architecture remains resilient across market transitions.

05

Market Alignment

Weight 15%

Positioning within high-growth and high-leverage segments.

Market Alignment measures how precisely your positioning intersects with growth nodes rather than commoditised layers.

A mature sector can still reward strong alignment, while a growth sector can compress poorly positioned professionals.

This dimension carries lower weight because alignment only produces leverage when supported by the other four dimensions.

Performance BandsStructural Risk → Acceleration
Structural Risk
01

Operating in declining or highly compressed segments.

Transitional
02

In viable markets but not positioned at growth frontiers.

Advanced
03

Aligned with growth segments and positioned to benefit.

Acceleration
04

Structurally positioned within high-growth, high-reward nodes.

"It feels closer to structural advisory than a career quiz. The Compression Exposure Index alone justified the session."

"I scored high on AI adaptability but had a significant income leverage gap. The projection modelling made that structural problem immediately legible."
