Every conversation sent to the Claude API is classified into one of roughly 500 request clusters. Each cluster is a tight family of requests doing the same job, from "Conduct automated security and code quality reviews of pull requests" to "Generate personalised B2B cold sales emails". When a cluster's share of API traffic grows from one snapshot to the next, it means more businesses are wiring that workflow into production. That is the cleanest public signal of which tasks are being automated at scale, right now.

Methodology

How we compute fastest-automating workflows

For every snapshot Anthropic publishes the share of all 1P API conversations that fall into each request cluster. A cluster is a tight family of conversations doing the same job, generated by clustering the underlying intents rather than the raw text.

We take the share of each cluster in the November 2025 snapshot and subtract it from its share in the February 2026 snapshot. The difference, in percentage points, is the cluster's growth. Positive growth means more developers are deploying that workflow; negative growth means it lost share.

We filter out clusters that did not appear in both snapshots and those with less than 0.05% share in the latest snapshot. The remaining 167 clusters power the leaderboard.

What this page measures is different from how a role's AI exposure score is computed. The leaderboard above is a delta on Anthropic's published clusters: which workflows API developers are deploying more of, snapshot to snapshot. The role-level score is a deterministic structural reading of an occupation's task profile against the O*NET database, not a usage trend.
