The AI Career Index is not a personality test or career quiz. It is a structural intelligence platform that measures how a professional is positioned for the AI economy.
The AI Career Index is a structural career-intelligence platform that scores how exposed a professional's role is to AI compression, how much authority leverage sits inside it, and where the position is likely to move over the next 24 months. It measures three things that compound over time and that traditional career tools systematically ignore: career durability, authority leverage, and automation exposure. These are not soft attributes or personality traits. They are structural conditions, and they are measurable.
Most career assessments produce a label. You are an INTJ. You are an Achiever. You are an Architect. The AI Career Index produces a position. It tells you where you sit in a market where pay is being reset in real time by automation, and it tells you which structural levers will move that position the fastest. The methodology is documented at methodology; the per-role taxonomy is at role directory; the rankings are at AI career risk rankings.
Why structural, not behavioural
Personality models measure who you are. The AI economy does not care who you are. It cares how your role is constructed: how much routine cognitive work it contains, how much authority sits inside it, how diversified your income leverage is, and how aligned your capabilities are with where the market is moving. Two people with identical Myers-Briggs profiles can have radically different exposure to AI compression because their roles are structurally different.
The AI Career Index ignores temperament entirely. It scores the structure of your work: what you actually do, who you actually answer to, and how the value you create is captured. That is the layer that determines whether your role either rises in pay or gets pushed out of the market over the next 24 months. The full case for structural over behavioural assessment is in why personality tests fail in the AI economy.
What the index produces
A complete AI Career Index assessment generates seven outputs. Each is deterministic; the same inputs always produce the same outputs.
Compression Exposure Index (CEI). 0-100 score with a low/medium/high risk band. Measures present-state exposure to AI compression.
Authority Band. Execution / Operator / Architect / Authority. The structural altitude at which you operate.
Structural Leverage score. A composite reading of how much value-capture leverage your current configuration affords you.
Authority Migration Probability (AMP+). 24-month directional projection: upward, neutral, downward probabilities summing to 100%.
Structural Archetype. One of six positioning patterns; calibrates the migration plan.
24-month projection. Drift Path vs Strategic Path on a 0-1000 score scale.
6-Month Acceleration Plan. Sequenced structural intervention calibrated to your specific configuration.
The free Snapshot gives you the headline numbers (CEI, Authority Band, AMP+ summary). The Premium unlock surfaces the full structural model, the projection paths, the archetype classification, and the acceleration plan that turns the readout into a decision system rather than a report. How it differs from other career tools
Vs personality tests: measures structure not temperament. The two are complementary; AI Career Index is for career navigation, personality tests are for self-knowledge and team dynamics.
Vs career coaching: addresses the structural layer; coaching addresses the human layer. Most professionals need both; see acceleration-plan-vs-career-coaching.
Vs job-board AI risk lists: reads role plus personal structural inputs; AI Career Index distinguishes between two professionals in the same role with different structural conditions.
Vs LLM career advice: deterministic and reproducible; same inputs always produce same outputs. No language-model interpretation in the scoring engine.
Who it is built for
The AI Career Index is built for professionals who want clarity rather than reassurance. It is most useful to people in roles that sit somewhere on the AI compression curve and who need to know whether their current trajectory is durable, where their structural leverage actually lives, and what the next two years look like if nothing changes versus if they intervene with intent.
This is not a tool for career exploration. It is a tool for professionals who already know what they do and need to understand how that work is positioned in a market that no longer rewards the same things it did five years ago. The companion product is the workforce assessment for organisations running the same diagnosis at team and function level.
